It is indeed an honour to be a part of Netaji Nagar College, a prestigious educational institution in South Kolkata. Established in 1967, the institution aims to create intellectually strong and morally upright human beings who will be able to serve the nation.

As the principal of this esteemed institution I want to extend a warm and hearty welcome to our students, professors, staff, and the wider community. Our institution is more than just a building; it is a platform where potential of the students is nurtured and character is built. As the students are the heart of this institution, I encourage all of them to embrace every challenge as an opportunity, every constraint as a scope. In addition to learning, the students should develop empathy, curiosity, discipline and resilience which will help them to fight against all odds of life in the future.

I would like to extend my thanks and regards to the professors of the institution whose dedication, sincerity and competence are helpful in fostering an environment of holistic, intellectual and emotional growth. The tireless efforts of the teachers are not only developing the scholars to excel in their life but also helping weak learners and the students coming from economically backward sections, with remedial and special classes.

The non-teaching staff are one of the most important facets of the institution. They not only play a pivotal role to ensure a safe campus but also facilitate smooth administration and hassle-free support to the students and teachers.

We are aware of the fact that education is a collaborative journey and I am thankful to the parents, Governing Body and the other stakeholders for their instrumental support for uplift of the institution.

With limited resources and a shared building Netaji Nagar College runs in the evening which especially caters the students belonging to the disadvantaged sections of the society, who have to work in the daytime for their livelihood. In spite of the existence of many constraints, the college, since it’s inception, is working relentlessly for inclusive development of the society.

As a principal of Netaji Nagar College, I am inviting the young aspirants to become a part of this family.
